Rye Holler Boys Perform this Weekend at Fontana Village Resort

Fontana Village continues its summer music series with the return of the Rye Holler Boys this weekend, July 16-17, 2010. Dedicated to keeping Bluegrass and the roots of mountain Gospel music alive, this talented young band from Bryson City, North Carolina has recorded four CDs featuring mandolin, guitar, upright bass, banjo, fiddle, and vocals.

Friday evening some of the band members will be picking and singing on the porch of the Wildwood Grill. Chef Carl Ecklund and his staff will be at The Wildwood Grill featuring an old fashioned cookout menu with everything from fresh ground burgers to tender beef briskets and smoked, pulled pork platters. Saturday July 17th at 8pm all of the band members will be on stage with their signature toe-tapping music in the famous Village Recreation Hall.

On Friday, July 30th, the Liquid Ginger Band will be performing live on the deck of the Wildwood Grill from 7 PM to 10 PM. Voted the “Hottest Rock Band” and “Entertainers of the Year” in Savannah , Georgia , the band features local resident Ginger Edwards Fawcett who graduated from Robbinsville High School in 1989 before settling in Savannah , GA to pursue a career in entertainment.
