Float Your Boat with the Foothils Conservancy

July 24  from 10 AM - 1PM float along the John's River with David Benner, co-author of the book "Carolina Whitewater - A Paddlers Guide to the Western Carolina's".  PLEASE RSVP for this outing.

We will float from the NC Hwy18 WRC Johns River access and then downstream (and back) along the gameland, including sloughs of the river before it joins Lake Rhodhiss. This is about a 3 hour event. Bring your own canoes, kayaks, life-jackets, water and lunch/snacks. Requires intermediate paddling skills.

The Foothills Conservancy of North Carolina is a nonprofit organization and regional land trust, dedicated to working cooperatively with landowners and public and private conservation partners to preserve and protect important natural areas and open spaces of the Blue Ridge Foothills region, including  watersheds, environmentally significant habitats, forests and farmland, for this and future generations. The Conservancy serves eight counties: Alexander, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, Cleveland, Lincoln, McDowell and Rutherford.
