Riverlink Volunteers needed for Cleanup

Volunteer Opportunity: Come help RiverLink clean up a future park for a dance event. In March of this year, RiverLink finally got the two old blue buildings at 121 Riverside Drive torn down, opening a beautiful winter-time view of the French Broad River. The remaining expanse of cement pad is just perfect for the Terpsicorps "Stars on the River" dance event at the site on August 7.

Before anyone can dance there, some housekeeping is in order. The July 10 cleanup will kick off at 9 AM. and go until noon. RiverLink has extended an invitation to the public to come out and bring as many "elements of floral destruction as possible: machetes, slingblades, old lawnmowers, etc. are welcomed." Call or e-mail Russell with questions or to RSVP: volunteer@riverlink.org or 828-252-8474 ext. 18, or on the cell at (828) 545-9099.
