Two local book signings mark the release of Cherokee Basketry: From the Hands of our Elders by Anna Fariello. A collaboration included Western Carolina University, Museum of the Cherokee Indian, and Qualla Arts and Crafts Mutual. Cherokee Basketry describes the craft's forms, functions and methods, and records the tradition's celebrated makers.
