Light, delicate, and fresh, this is an elegant white wine that is great to drink on a surprisingly warm early spring day. Charamba Vinho Tinto- From the Douro region of Portugal, this red wine has nice tannin structure, great berry fruit, and a smooth finish. This week Appalachian Vintner's free Saturday tasting will be bringing you another installment in their noble varietal series ~ SYRAH, or is it Shiraz? Sirah maybe, but make it Petite if you please. No matter the spelling or the country, most wine drinkers are familiar with Syrah. We use this spelling for explanation mainly because we are at heart, traditionalists.
