Good news! On his namesake day, Grady the Groundhog, the new Chimney Rock Park mascot, did not see his shadow, signaling that spring is just around the corner. Just for clarification, Grady has been the Park mascot for many, many years, but now, he actually lives at Chimney Rock. That's right, Grady is a new member of the Chimney Rock on site family. Once it gets warm enough, Grady will move into his exhibit near Grady's Animal Discovery Den on the Meadows. There will be a "Welcome Grady" party for spring, with details coming soon.
