Icycle Mountain Bike Race at Fontana Valentines Weekend

Fontana Village is  preparing the trails for this year’s Run un February 12th at Fontana Village Resort. Fontana Dam, NC.  The Icycle Mountain Bike Race Classic returns to Fontana Village Resort on February 12th. The race and festivities attract riders and their families not only for the challenging course but the gathering and location as well. Many riders come in a day early and make a weekend of it by filling up the lodge and cabins at the resort. This year’s event promises to be action packed with five different classes of daytime races and he always exciting nighttime Downhill Race. The evening race is not for the faint of heart. All riders are required to have 10 watt or greater night riding lights. A chili supper party will be served starting at 4pm and the After Party with Awards Ceremony will begin at the completion of the evening Downhill Race.
