Valentine's Day Champagne and Sparkling Wines...and Sales!

Valentine's Day is almost here and the good folks at Table Wine in Asheville NC are offering some interesting info and great sales to help your Valentine sparkle.  This year, if you'll be enjoying sparkling wine, why not try something new and different.  You can be unoriginal and go buy one of the likely candidates at the grocery store, or you can try some bubbly from a small grower/producer.

Did you know that roughly 85% of Champagne is produced by the large houses (Veuve, Perrier Jouet, Moet, etc.), but that these folks only own 14% of the vineyards?  At Table Wine, they only stock Champagnes from the folks who own their own vineyards, and who bottle small amounts of wine from their grapes.  At the end of the day, these folks produce a small fraction of the amount of wine as the big houses, and they control quality from vine to bottle.  A number of grower Champagnes are in stock at the moment, as well as many high quality sparkling wines from other parts of the world.  Try something new this year, try a Champagne or sparkling wine from a small family producer.
