February 18 - 21 NEBO Great Backyard Bird Count This is an annual four-day event engaging bird watchers of all ages in counting birds to create a real-time snapshot of where the birds are across the continent and in Hawaii. Anyone can participate, from beginning bird watchers to experts. Count for as little as 15 minutes per day, or as long as you like each day of the event. It’s free, fun, and easy—and it helps the birds.
A limited number of bird field guides and binoculars available, so bring your own if you have them. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Meet at the Paddy's Creek Area office of Lake James State Park at 8:00 a.m. Call 828-652-5047 for more information.
