Woodcarving: Carving a Portrait in Relief

Instructor: Paul B. Rolfe- Starting with a good photograph of a person, a pet, or even a horse, learn how to use measurements and your eye to carve their likeness in wood. What a cherished heirloom this project will make! Some carving experience with gouges is helpful, but not required. You will learn all that you will need to know in class.
