July 2 The 47th Annual Roasting of the Hog is considered one of the High Country's premier Independence Day celebrations. After years of perfecting the seasonings and homemade charcoal blends, this barbecue is arguably the best in the High Country. Enjoy music while dining outdoors. Fireworks display. Menu: Barbecue pork, smoked turkey , slaw, baked beans, potato salad, ice tea and moon pies. Beer available for purchase.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Beech Mountain Chamber of Commerce, Fred’s General Mercantile, or they may be purchased at the gate. Tickets are $15.00 per person and $7.00 for children 7 and under. Call the Beech Mountain Chamber of Commerce at (828) 387-9283 for additional details.
