Foolish Things to do thing weekend in the Mountains

April 1 at Heinzelmannchen Brewery First Friday Event: great food from The Villages at Sapphire paired with Heinzelmannchen beer samples from 5-8 p.m. AT the brewery on the back street of downtown Sylva - No foolin!

April 1  Asheville Downtown Galleries Walk begins the season's self-guided tour this weekend. Browse through more than 20 Asheville art and craft galleries in a festive atmosphere.

  celebrates its 4th Birthday with sales, fat squares and refreshments.April 1-2   Tryon's Fool Festival  A variety of fun and foolish events including a street dance and dance contest, Tryon's Talent Show, Outhouse, Stroller Race and the Trashion Show.

April 2 Asheville's Artisan Bread Bakers Festival

April 2-3   Bryson City hosts  SERC-US Cup East Series #2    The Series continues on arguably the most famous trail system in the East.  The course is fast and flowing with plenty of climbing - a classic mountain bike event.

April 2 - 3   Blowing Rock's  Trout Derby  is a FREE event with NO pre-registration necessary. 6 AM -5PM Saturday, Noon -4PM Sunday. Public waters only, no ponds.
