April Performances at The Diana Wortham Theatre

April 8 at 8 PM: Destino has entranced audiences world-wide, from the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, the 2008 Miss America Pageant, and at the Egyptian embassy. Destino enthralls by combining the romance of opera with gospel, soul and pop selections delivered via it two award-winning, classically trained professional tenors, pianist, and violinist - everything from Ave Maria to the Beatles' Yesterday.

April 9 Wave Enterprises presents "Speaking Truth to Power: A Permanent State of War"
An evening of thoughtful commentary with an investigative journalist and historian, and a former U.S. Army Intelligence Officer, as guest speakers.

April 15 & 16 Community Choreography Project presents Hand Me Down, Bestowing Our True Inheritance Through Life, Lessons and Legacy An exceptional evening of colorful dance, uplifting music, and engaging story.

Jazz Series 2011: Don Vappie & The Creole Jazz Serenaders Banjo virtuoso Don Vappie, born in New Orleans and descended from a long line of New Orleans musucians, leads his Creole Jazz Serenaders.
