YOU are the star this Thursday, April 14 at An Evening of Stars the Red Carpet Event. The event will take place at the red-carpeted, paparazzi-greeted Burnsville Town Center at 7 p.m.. The tickets are on sale now for only $5 in advance at the Burnsville Town Center and $10 at the door. Desserts (including sugar-free), coffee, and entertainment are included. There will be an opportunity to mix & mingle with the communitys best prior to the Academys style event recognizing area non-profits, community leaders, and volunteers. A silent auction will also be stirring up bidding wars, so bring your check books!
The beneficiaries of this celebratory, cornerstone event include: Yancey County Committee on Aging, Grahams Childrens Health Center of Toe River, Yancey County Special Olympics, 4H & 4H Friends, Appalachian Therapeutic Riding Center, Reconciliation House, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts/Cub Scouts, Yancey Residential Service, Shortbus Studio, & Hawthorne House, Yancey County Literacy Council, Toe River Arts Council, Children's Advocacy Center of Yancey County, EnergyXChange, Parent-to-Parent Family Support Network, and the Parkway Playhouse.
The host, Yancey County United Fund (YCUF), is promising a fun, elegant, and entertaining evening full of glamour and glitz…bling and zing. The evening will be a fun tribute to the Yancey County non-profit agencies, volunteers, and community leaders who all help make our community so special. It's a 'can't miss' event for Yancey County.
