Marion: NC Gold Festival

May 15-16 Marion. Annual event, featuring gold exhibits, gold mining techniques and demonstrations, treasure and scavenger hunts, geo-caching, gold panning, numerous vendors including arts and crafts, raffles, Friday night Gold Tales and gospel concert at 6:00 p.m. with Purpose, The Blairs and Glory Land Way Quartet as well as local bands. Saturday music includes The Cant Hardly Play Boys and Nashville recording artist Juleigh Ed returns. Music, food and fun at Tom Johnsons Rally Park, Marion.
