The Annual Macon County Gemboree Sparkles in Franklin this Weekend

July 26 - 29   47th Annual Macon County Gemboree  The Second oldest gem and mineral show in the Southeast features dealers from across the United States. You'll find rough and cut gemstones, minerals, lapidary equipment and much more. The event is sponsored by the Franklin Chamber of Commerce and the Gem and Mineral Society of Franklin.

The event offers an unmatched selection of fine jewelry, rough and cut gems and minerals, a wide variety of beads, lapidary equipment and fossils. Visitors will even be able to observe the fine art of faceting stones and an other techniques thorough demonstrations. Hourly door prizes will also be given away throughout the run of the Gemboree.

Hours are 10 AM. to 5 PM Thursday through Saturday and 11AM to 4 PM. on Sunday. Daily admission is $3 for adults with those ages 12 and under admitted free. A 3-day pass is also available for only $5 and will allow you admission to the event all four days for one low price.
