Wolf Howl at the Nature Center

November 8 and 17 ,  6PM - 8 PM, The Western North Carolina Nature Center, 75 Gashes Creek Road, Asheville NC - Wolf Howl: learn more about the WNC native wolf species and have the chance to hear them howl!

Centuries ago, the howl of the wolf was as much a part of the environment of Western North Carolina as the drum of the woodpecker and the yap of the coyote. These days, however, both the red and gray wolf are extinct from the wilds of southeast Appalachia. This is a rare opportunity to experience seeing and hearing this apex predator.!

Tickets are $10.00 per person. Tickets are sold in advance only. Refreshments will be served after the program. Come with questions, flashlights, and warm clothing as a portion of our program is outdoors.  Please call (828) 298-5600, ext. 305 for details and reservations.
