Cataloochee Ski Area opens today and tomorrow, November 12-13 for the first NC Skiing in the 2011-2012 Season. Thanks to a cold snap this week and the hard work of the Cataloochee staff, the popular NC Ski Area will open for the weekend to begin their 51st season.
Cataloochee is offering special $25 lift tickets, with regular rental rates. Midweek season passes are also valid this weekend!
Hours: Saturday & Sunday 8:30AM-4:30PM, Closed for the week.
Runs: Lower Omigosh, Easy Way, Rabbit Hill, Beginners Luck
Lifts: Easy Way, Omigosh to Mid-Station
Overnight snowmaking has allowed 4 trails to open serviced by 2 lifts. The slopes will be closed Monday-Friday, and reopen Saturday Nov. 19th with the early season schedule.
