Weekend Wine Events and Tastings:

Oct 15, 6 PM - 9PM at the Wine Bar, The Classic Wine Cellar - Michael Pilgrim and his Mandolin Jazz perform with no cover charge. Fun, food, wine, music. The Classic Wine Cellar is located at 20 Church Street, Waynesville NC.

Oct 15, 5:30 PM - 8 PM, Maggie B's Wine & Specialty Store - Sample some truly delectable wines from all over the great state of Oregon. Oregon has always been the home for craftsman wine making. The majority being small, family owned wineries with estate grown grapes, not unlike many Western North Carolina farms. Maggie B's Wine & Specialty Store is located at 113 N. Main St. Weaverville NC.

Oct 15, 7 PM  The Wine Studio of Asheville - The Greening of the Wine Industry:- Sustainable, Organic & Biodynamic. What is the difference in organic wine and wine made from organic grapes? Does biodynamic farming actually make better wine? Join Jessica Gualano for a presentation of 6 wines. We'll take a close look at which countries and producers are leading the way in the "greening" of the wine industry! Learn how to identify quality, eco-conscious wines! Oct 16, 1 PM - 4 PM  Asheville Wine Market - Free Tasting of a delicious selection of newly arrived wines perfectly suited to the changing season. Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Muscadelle, Grenache Blanc, Maccabeu, Muscat Petit Grain, Grenache, and Syrah are the players for this tasting. These wines will stimulate your palate and be lovely partners to a broad variety of dishes. So join Erin for a vinous tour of the southern tier of France this coming Saturday. Oct 16,  6 PM - 9 PM,  Table Wine - Art and wine extravaganza. Local artist Nathan Dyke has kindly displayed his wonderful paintings on our walls, and he will be here Saturday from 6:00 to 9:00 to answer questions you might have about his work. Wine and light bites will be available as well. Table Wine is located at 1550 Hendersonville Road, Suite 102 in the Fugazy Center Asheville NC.

Oct 16, 3 PM - 6 PM, Hops & Vines - Free wine tasting of Killer wines from New Zealand. This region is especially known for their Sauvignon Blancs and Pinot Noirs, and we've got some great value examples this week. If you never experienced New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc before you're in for a treat! Hops & Vines is located at 797 Haywood Rd, Ste 100, Asheville NC.
