Weekend Events in the NC Mountains

Whatever your interests may be you'll find something exciting to do this weekend in the NC mountains. The fall leaf color is starting and the air is cool and crisp.  American Craft Week events continue in more than 30 mountain cities. Take a ride with the Peanuts gang on the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad to the pumpkin patch or back to the old West aboard Tweetsie's Halloween Ghost Train. Find Art and Craft in the park, on a gallery Crawl or at dozens of outdoor mountain festivals and open studios. Octoberfests offer beer and OOM Pah Pah. See frescoes, bonsais and quilts.
