Take the Road (or path) Less Traveled

ANY path and ANY waterfall in the mountains is a worthy experience. But those less well known - and less traveled - really can make all the difference.

Deep Creek offers a pristine "triple" falls. And you can visit them all within an hour’s walk from the trailhead parking lot at the Deep Creek Recreation Area just outside Bryson City. Because they’re on the main trail, Tom Branch Falls (pictured here) and Indian Creek Falls are the most-visited. But if you take the short side trail to Juneywhank Falls, you’ll be richly rewarded.  Now, who doesn't want to be able to say they've been to "Junewhank falls?
