RiverFest is RiverLink's biggest event of the year. It's a full day of raft-races, dancing, face-painting, parades, various friendly competitions, and much more, with a little beer mixed in. About 100 people are needed to make it work. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt and a drink (choice of alcoholic or non-alcoholic).
RiverFest 2010: Save the French Broad takes place on Saturday, August 14, from noon until 6 p.m. this year. While August 14 seems far away, we are trying to get a headcount of volunteers to see who wants to be involved and how much more recruiting we need to do. We're looking for enough people that we will only work our volunteers in three-hour shifts (though if you want to stay longer, you are welcome). For details or sign-up contact RiverLink Director of Volunteer Services Dave Russell, volunteer@riverlink.org (828) 252-8474, ext. 18
