The trout season continues in Western North Carolina all summer long but the nature of chasing trout in the mountains changes a little during the summer months. The guides at Curtis Wright Outfitters really like to focus efforts during the summer months on the streams and rivers known to hold good numbers of trout throughout the summer. It is fortunate that this laser like focus still leaves us with more water to fish than any one person could in three summers, let alone one. Some of the favorite waters that usually fish well all summer include catch and release rivers (Davidson River, Ravens Fork River), high elevation wild trout waters, trophy tailwaters, and the French Broad River for Smallmouth Bass.
