FREE wine tasting in Asheville

June 13 3-6PM Asheville, Hops & Vines. Off the Beaten Path in Italy! Join Jessica this Saturday as she geeks out with obscure Italian varietals! This ain’t your boring pinot grigio!

2007 Pievano Orvieto Classico – A clean, crisp blend of trebbiano and grechetto made in Umbria, just south of Tuscany. This is what they drink in Italy! $11.99

2006 Le Ralle Alovini Greco, Basilicata – Only 500 cases of this delightful white were produced! Greco was brought to Italy by the Greeks and modern production renders a dry, somewhat spicy wine with beautiful flowery aromatics. $14.99

2007 Bosco Delle Cicale Freisa, Langhe – This delightful summer red comes to us from the province of Cuneo, in Piemonte. The freisa grape is an offspring of the regal nebbiolo, contributing a similar perfume of violets and a firm tannic structure. $14.99
