Annual Cherokee Voices Festival

June 13 10AM-5PM Cherokee. In Their Own Cherokee Voices Living history. Basketry, pottery, finger weaving, carving and flint knapping demonstrations. Storytelling, traditional music, flute music, gospel music in Cherokee language, Indian dinners, traditional dance including the Warriors of AniKituhwa. Cherokee telling their stories in their voices. As part of its charge to preserve and perpetuate Cherokee's rich history and culture, the Museum of the Cherokee Indian, together with the N.C. Arts Council, is sponsoring the annual Cherokee Voices Festival on the lawn at the Museum. http://www.cherokee-nc.com
