of the World's Best Places to Stay -- and five North Carolina hotels
are among the annual list of reader favorites, tow of which are mountain inns. Fearrington House Country
Inn in Pittsboro, the Inn on Biltmore Estate in Asheville, the
Ritz-Carlton in Charlotte, The Swag Country Inn in Waynesville, and The
Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary were voted by the magazine's readers as
best hotels in the U.S. In addition, Fearrington House and the Inn on
Biltmore Estate were recognized with Platinum Circle status, hotels that
have made the Gold List for five years in a row.
