Riverlink Needs Volunteer

April 3, Blue Ridge Assembly, Black Mountain North Carolina. Riverlink is  seeking a volunteer who would come out to Blue Ridge Assembly Saturday morning (weather should be nice!) to set up an info booth and be part of the event from 9 a.m. until noon. Willliam Harwood, a science teacher at Rainbow Mountain School in West Asheville, is hosting a race -- the Splashdown to WOW (the World's Only Watershed) 6k and 15K at Blue Ridge Assembly in Black Mountain -- to benefit his school's Adopt-A-Stream Team.

Harwood says "It will be a small race, about 50 runners tops, but whatever we raise will go towards 'Operation Elderberry' and creating a healthy riparian buffer for State Street Stream," and requests a RiverLink presence at the event. Contact: Dave Russell, RiverLink  252-8474, ext. 118
