Competition Calls for Youth Heritage Talent

Applications are now being accepted for participants in the Mountain Youth Talent Contest. The Contest is produced by Catch the Spirit of Appalachia, an organization dedicated to preserving local mountain heritage. The contest categories include: Vocals, Instrumental, Dance, Poetry/Prose/Storytelling. Entry forms are available at the Jackson County Recreation Center, the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce and online at www.spiritofappalachia.org  or by calling 828-631-4587. There is no entry charge.

The contest will take place on April 24 during Sylva's Annual Greening Up the Mountains Festival.
