Labor Day Weekend Event:Historic Happy Valley Old-time Fiddlers Convention

September 4-6 at Jones Farm NC, 268 in Caldwell County Lenoir NC. The Happy Valley Old-time Fiddlers Convention is located on the site of Laura Fosters grave of the Tom Dooley fame. The convention offers old-time and bluegrass group and individual competitions. Along with instrument playing, the event offers folk singing, instrument making, old-time dance demonstrations, hayride tours, corn shucking, flat foot competitions, and local home-cooked delicacies.
