Banner House Museum celebrates Heritage Day

September 19 from 11AM-4PM. Banner House Museum celebrates Heritage Day, 7990 Hickory Nut Gap Rd., Banner Elk NC. Visitors are invited to display family pictures and memorabilia, visit with Banner Elk/Avery heritage authors, enjoy music and house tours including an exhibit on "Life in Banner Elk, 1860-1865" and Civil War artifacts from Steve Chandler's collection. Barbecue lunches available for purchase. Anyone wishing to display quilts is required to pre-register by Sept 15.
