Locomotion Trail

West Jefferson (in Ashe County) welcomes the Locomotion Trail. The Trail's total distance is a mile, and provides distance markers every 1/5 of a mile. The artworks used as markers are permanently affixed in the sidewalk, along with the brass plaques that have the Locomotion Trail Symbol on them. Incidentally, the artworks were created by different local artisans.
