April 18th from 3-6 pm Asheville, Hops and Vines, New Arrivals for Spring!
Join us and our friend Josh from The Country Vintner this week to taste four new arrivals to the shop!
2007 Bonci Verdicchio "Carpaneto" Castelli dei Jesi, Italy - A great alternative to Pinot Grigio, this Verdicchio shines with aromas and flavors of citrus, pineapple, almond, and jasmine all offered up in a textured, medium-bodied white. $11.99
2008 Fire Road Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough, New Zealand - Bright green apple, grapefruit, melon, and tropical fruits make this wine summer-sipping perfection. $11.99
2008 Cono Sur Pinot Noir "Vision" Colchagua Valley, Chile - One of the great Pinot Noir values in the world, this wine is sourced from a vineyard originally planted in 1968, making the vines older than about 95% of the Pinot Noir grown in California. It offers up a bright, spicy nose of red and black cherry, earth, spice, and cocoa. $14.99
2008 Terra Andina Carmenere Central Valley, Chile - Just a great all around red for any day, meal, or party. It is a soft, spicy wine, with notes of raspberry and blueberry. This is a very friendly carmenere with no hard edges. $8.99 (yes, that's right!) 797 Haywood Road, West Asheville 828-252=5275
