August 17-18 Dirty Dancing Festival
A dance and music festival for all ages celebrating the classic
American movie filmed in Lake Lure, NC. Fans can relive their
favorite "Dirty Dancing" moments with a film screening, live music,
dance performances and lessons, special guests, games and more. Fans
from more than 24 states and two foreign countries have attended
previous festivals.
The
3rd annual Dirty Dancing Festival is is an all-day affair with live
bands and dance performances, a beer and wine garden, a kidz zone, a
dance lessons tent, food and craft vendors and, of course, the infamous
Lake Lift competition! With admission all games and lessons are free,
and you can come and go throughout the day with your admission
wristband!
On Friday there will be a FREE screening of the movie Dirty Dancing.
Bring a picnic dinner, some blankets and chairs and cuddle up to watch
Dirty Dancing alongside the famous Lake Lure. There will be food and
beverages for sale onsite - please do not bring alcohol. This event is
FREE but donations are appreciated. Come around 7:00 PM to park and find
a spot for the movie which will start around 8:30 PM.
The
Festival is held in Morse Park Meadows from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PMAdmission:
