April 24, 10AM - 6PM, Blue Ridge Community College, Hendersonville North Carolina. ECO (Environmental and Conservation Organization) celebrates the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day. Green Shop 'till You Drop to Benefit WNC Nature Center

April, Greenlife Grocery, 70 Merrimon Avenue, Asheville North Carolina. Greenlife will donate 5 cents to the Friends of the WNC Nature Center for every bag you bring in and use throughout the month of April. Greenlife Grocery is a full service natural foods grocery store and café. 

Colored Easter Eggs the Natural Way

March 28, 4PM-6PM, Sunny Points, Asheville North Carolina. Sunny Points gardener/ urban farmer, Laurie Newman White will do a hands on demonstration on using natural vegetable dyes for Easter Eggs. After the egg dying there will be eggs to hide and find for the little ones. Cathy Williams (from we still lay - http://www.ashevillecitychickens.com/) will be also be doing a short presentation on urban chicken farming.and find for the little ones. The event will be held on Sunny Points Patio from 4 to 6 pm on March 28. $5 fee.

12th Annual Cashier’s Designer Showhouse

One more week to visit Cashier's Designer Showhouse! Located at 1903 Highway 107 South, in Cashiers NC. This year's Showhouse brings many parts of the community together including 28 interior designers, landscapers and artists with the focus: "everyday green living".
