July 4 Lake Lure So you haven’t made your plans for the 4th? We have not one but
two 4th of July parties in Lake Lure and the Blue Ridge Foothills to answer your dilemma. Both are full of the fun activities you remember and fireworks ending the day with a bang.

A day full of fun family activities on
the beach at Lake Lure including Boardwalk Arts & Crafts Sale,
Kids Zone at the Beach,
Fire Truck Rides & Tattoos, Beach
Cookout, Ice Cream at the Cabana, Tiki Bar at the Cabana, Bingo at the
Pavilion, Golf Cart Parade, Pasta Dinner on the Terrace, Prime Rib
Buffet at Lakeview Restaurant, Dinner Cruise and a Fireworks Cruise. At
dark the festivities conclude with a Color Guard and Fireworks display.
Rutherfordton: An
Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration
The fun begins at noon with a walking parade and
continues throughout the day with a car/bike show, soap box derby,
dunking booth, watermelon eating contest, cornhole, kids area, games,
lots of food and more. The fireworks display begins at dark.
The Freedom Train is a special event hosted by The Great Smoky Mountains Railroad with a departure at 8 PM heading to Dillsboro NC. Tour the quaint town with unique after hours shopping and get a front row seat for one of the area's favorite fireworks displays.
