July 13 2nd Saturdays - Heart and Soul This program will feature the "Heart and Soul: Black Churches of McDowell County" exhibit. Jakia Probst, District Winner of the National Poetry Out Loud competition will have two performances over the course of the day.
The Addie's Chapel Choir will be performing at 1 PM. The event is held on the grounds of Mountain Gateway Museum. The 2nd Saturdays summer programs are sponsored statewide by the N.C. Department of Cultural Resources (www.ncculture.com) at all 37 of its history museums, art museums and historic sites.
