Andrew's Geyser Celebrates 100 Years in Old Fort

September 22  100 Years Anniversary of Andrew's Geyser  An all day festival commemorating this important, Old Fort landmark. Andrews Geyser is part of a public park owned and maintained by the town of Old Fort. Learn the history of this landmark from the late 1800's, how it came to be and join in the celebration.

Andrew's Geyser will be re-dedicated at 10:30 AM in a ceremony including the music of McDowell High School Band, presentation of the flag by the McDowell High School NJROTC color guard, introduction by Mountain Gateway Museum and Heritage Center Director Terrell Finley, and keynote address by local historian, author and City of Marion Mayor Stephen Little.

Old Fort Railroad Day will also take place on September 22 with events from 10 AM to 4 PM including model train vendors and demonstrators, live music on three venues, kids' activities and art and crafts booths.
