Action Alert: Take action now to protect funding for conservation
State budget discussions already underway
Even though the North Carolina General Assembly’s 2012 session won’t start until May, legislative budget writers have made it clear they are already putting together the 2012 state budget bill. We must tell legislators right now to protect funding for conservation before they make their final decisions. It is unusual for Land for Tomorrow to urge you to take action on the budget while the General Assembly is not in session, but legislative leaders have set an accelerated timetable. We must adjust and voice our support now. Funding for North Carolina’s conservation trust funds is at stake. Please contact your legislators today. Tell them how important conservation funding is to you and your family, and make certain they continue to protect our state’s land and water resources. |
