Each week Stories of Mountain Folk presents a half hour podcast of mountain heritage told through music and interviews with local "folks". This week's offering includes snippets taken from interviews throughout 2011, including:
Amy's "Ballroom Dancing" story, Joyce Moore, Becky Lipkin and Thomas Rain Crowe, all from Tuckasegee, and to end the segment, The Butterpats sing "For the Beauty of the Earth"; Amy's guests are 100-year old Rose Clark from Franklin, 80-year old Ruth Ensley Bryson from Cullowhee, and a young Sarah Conley (from Hickory) of The Hurleys who share with us "Wayfaring Stranger." Finally, Ron Smith plays "Auld Sand Syne."
