RiverLink Blog "The River Whisperer" Offers Daily River News

RiverLink has a blog available for everyone to enjoy. RiverLink's Director of Volunteer Services, Dave Russell, and Assistant Volunteer Coordinator Worth McAlister, an AmeriCorps member, are dedicated to bringing high quality information and entertainment to the citizens of Western North Carolina with a new blog entry published each day through this wonderful tool.

Readers can find up-to-date news
on stream ecology, special events in the area, recreation and fishing, the greenway system, important community topics and meeting dates, WNC flora and fauna, current water news from our region and beyond, and anything exciting that is related to the French Broad River Watershed. The site is chock full of pictures, videos, and facts that are sure to inform and entertain anyone who loves moving water, Asheville and WNC.


The River Whisperer blog
was born on April 30, 2010, and can be found through the media tab on the RiverLink Web site or by visiting http://theriverwhisperer.blogspot.com. The blog is complete with links, labels, and an archive for easy navigation to whatever topics may strike your fancy. Older entries can be a great source for knowledge in an array of focal areas.


The River Whisperer currently has over 550 entries, with a brand new one each morning. The blog boasts over 4,000 hits per month, and counting. Don't hesitate to make The River Whisperer a primary source for staying up-to-date and informed on what's happening in your region and in your waters.
