A Walk on the Wild Side in the Foothills

May 17, Pearson's Falls, 2748 Pearson Falls Rd, Saluda North Carolina. On Mondays this spring Master Naturalists Melissa Le Roy and Tracie Hanson lead guided tours along the trail to the falls.  On May 17, learn about the trees that give this Glen the distinguised designation as a "Deciduous Climax Forest." On May 24, when you leave you will be able to identify the many varieties of fern that reside at Pearson's Falls. This is a rare opportunity to reconnect with and understand the rich and unique offering of flora and fauna contained on this wonderful local attraction. Each tour is expected to last two hours. Pearson's Falls is a botanical preserve comprised of 268 acres of native forest, spring-fed streams and a
