The Hills are Alive with the Sound of Music - again!

As spring turns into summer in the Western North Carolina mountains, silent stages and empty community centers are reborn with everything from  pickin' and grinnin' to Frederica von Stade's Carmen. Most of us know that everything is better in the mountains, and music is no exception. From now through late fall the toes will be tapping in 3/4 time and more in every mountain city.

Bryson City's "Music in the Mountains" begins its 2010 season on June 5 and continues every Saturday night from 6:30PM - 8PM at the historic downtown train depot. The opening concert "pickin" by Dusk Weaver will surely leave you "grinnin"  - and looking forward to more. The Bryson City concerts are free - just bring your favorite lawn chair.
