1st Annual Live Nativity

Dec 5, 6PM, 17 Big Cove Road, Saunooke Village, Cherokee NC. A “Live Nativity” produced by Catch the Spirit of Appalachia, and sponsored by the shops of Saunooke Village will debut on the cobbled streets under a " Star of Bethlehem". The Live Nativity will feature songs of the season sung a cappella within each scene, live camels lead by the wise men, a donkey at the stable, and sheep led by the shepherds. Over 35 community members are involved in brining alive the oldest story every told. Additional activities for the day include camel rides and an appearance by Santa.  Mrs. Claus and “Billy the Elf,” will entertain and help Santa hand out candy canes to the children of Western North Carolina.
