Cherokee Days at Stecoah in Robbinsville

JULY 31 - Aug 1 at The Stecoah Valley Cultural Arts Center in Robbinsville. The Stecoah Valley Cultural Arts Center is holding Cherokee Days events on Friday July 31 and Saturday August 1. The events begin with an authentic Cherokee dinner at 6:30pm on Friday served in the Stecoah Dining Room ($14/adult, $10/K-12, reservations required).

Friday evening entertainment includes storytelling, song, and dance demonstrations beginning at 7:30pm. Cherokee history is told through stories and songs sprinkled with Cherokee and other native American languages, and audience participation. Dance demonstrations in ornate costumes top off the evening. The evening of Cherokee entertainment takes place at the outdoor pavilion at the Stecoah Valley Center, and tickets are $10/adult or $3/K-12. On Saturday August 1, there will be three craft classes, each beginning at 10am. Pre-registration is required for Saturdays classes: Making blow guns ($25), finger weaving ($20), and beadwork ($20).
