Davidson's Fort Historical Park in Old Fort Brings NC History to life

March 21 - 22, 2016    March Colonial Event weekend and Militia Muster   at Davidson's Fort   This event showcases the reconstructed militia fort of 1776 that guarded North Carolina's frontier during the American War for Independence. Civilians, merchants and militia demonstrate life in the colonial era.

 Each third Saturday Davidson's Fort will present a Colonial Living History with hands on demonstrations of the 18th Century. This event will have a gate admission of $2.00 per person 6 and older.

Major events will be presented 4 times a year, with more details on the website. As always the fort is available for viewing and photographing 7 days a week. For group tours or to book the Fort for your special event,  call (828) 925-2095.

Davidson’s Fort was built in 1776 by North Carolina Militia soldiers for the defense of settlers against the Cherokees.  Now a private non profit history project, the Historical Park is located off Water Street in Old Fort NC.
