October 13 Boone Heritage Festival Celebrate Appalachian heritage and Daniel Boone's legacy with 18th century living history demonstrations, craft and food vendors, music jam sessions (bring your instrument and play along), a liar's bench, children's make-and-take crafts, and live music and storytelling by some of the region's best in old-time traditions.
The Festival takes place at the 35-acre Daniel Boone Park, home of Hickory Ridge Living History Museum and "Horn in the West" as well as the Jaycees Park playground, Daniel Boone Native Gardens and Watauga County Farmers' Market.
