NC Apple Festival a Labor Day Weekend Tradition

August 31 - September 3  66th Annual NC Apple Festival features a street fair on Historic Main Street in downtown Hendersonville NC, a favorite Labor Day Weekend destination. The Festival is the unofficial kick-off for the NC apple season with lots of fresh picked apples and locally made apple products.

Some of the Apple Festival activities include: live entertainment and music, arts and crafts, apple products, children and youth activities, special exhibits, food and the King Apple Parade on Labor Day. Some of the special events include pancake breakfasts, car shows, apple recipe contests and a gem and mineral spectacular.

The King Apple Parade is a highlight of the Festival and a fitting conclusion on Labor DayAt the parade there will be professional floats, bands, youth groups, antique cars, fire trucks and many others participating in this event that will draw over 60,000 individuals.
