Consistently one of the finest music events of the summer, the Festival delivers phenomenal lineups on two stages in a gorgeous venue for a low $8 admission fee. In addition to Acoustic Syndicate, two full days and nights of music include such favorites as Aaron Burdett Band, Sol Driven Train, The Lee Boys, Project X, The Danberrys and Country Spirit Band.
From humble beginnings in 1994, the Festival has grown to be one of the premier barbecue events in the nation with $20,000 in prizes. Competition cook teams set up their rigs to vie for prestige, cash prizes and awards in this, the North Carolina State Barbecue Championship. The top ranking team from North Carolina also wins the coveted Governor’s Trophy. Teams must compete in all four sanctioned categories; Chicken, Pork Ribs, Pork and Beef Brisket to be considered for Grand Champion. The Barbeque will also be available for purchase through select venders along with sweet treats and beverages from wine to beer to tea and soft drinks.
The Foothills Craft Fair has become an inportant part of the Barbeque and Music Festival.
