City Lights Bookstore Welcomes Ballad of Tom Dooley Author

September 20th, 7 PM at City Lights Bookstore , 3 East Jackson Street, Sylva NC.   Sharyn McCrumb Returns to City Lights with a New Novel   Sharyn McCrumb will be at City Lights to read from and sign her new novel, The Ballad of Tom Dooley.  Laura Foster, a simple country girl, was murdered and her lover Tom Dula was hanged for the crime. With the help of historians, lawyers, and researchers, McCrumb visited the actual sites, studied the legal evidence, and uncovered a missing piece of the story that will shock those who think they already know what happened.
