October 1-2 USA Canoe / Kayak Nationals - The national champion-crowning races for 2011. The country's best whitewater slalom racers will compete for the national championship in their divisions: Kayak (K1), Single Canoe (C1), Double Canoe (C2) and Women's Kayak (K1W). Slalom is the only Olympic whitewater discipline, and the eventual 2012 Olympians should be competing at these championships, so don't miss the chance to see the 2012 Olympic paddlers here in North Carolina before they head to London in 2012.
